Those are the specs. How about a quick tour? Let’s start with the exterior...
Beginning with the grille, there are a few subtle differences to look for when comparing Seltos trims. The base LX trim includes a black grille without a positioning light, whereas the S, EX, S1.6T, and SX trims feature a black and chrome-lined grille with a positioning light.
Moving to the side of the vehicle, you’ll notice Seltos incorporates black wheel-arch cladding on all trims. You can identify an LX from the side by noting a black painted beltline as opposed to a chrome beltline molding on S, EX, S1.6T, and SX models.
Behold, the (optional) Two-Tone Roof.
2021 Kia Seltos SX
A European-inspired Seltos design cue is the availability of a two-tone roof option on S or S1.6T trims or the SX Sunroof Package. Keep in mind that this option conflicts with a sunroof, so if a sunroof is a “gotta have it” feature, point your customers to the EX or SX trim.

Let’s bring the conversation full-circle and observe the rear of the car. Seltos adds to its capable appearance with a 3-D surface treated rear bumper, a sweeping liftgate garnish that melds well with the chiseled tail lights, and a chrome dual-muffler garnish to complete the look.

When the sun sets, Seltos has drivers covered. Let’s talk lighting...
There are a few trim-specific Seltos headlight configurations you’ll want to be aware of as well. Projector-beam halogen lighting is standard on LX, S, and EX trims. S and EX trims bring several lighting upgrades; most notably upgraded headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), LED tail lights, and bulb-style fog lights. And, for a lighting package a class (or two) above the Entry CUV segment, the top-of-the-line SX trim showcases full LED unique style headlights, LED fog lights, and LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and turn signals.
LED lighting offers both emotional design as well as enhanced nighttime visibility, and many of today’s shoppers are interested in full LED lighting, so make sure you keep this information top of mind!
And about those rear tail lights...
When looking at Seltos models on the showroom floor, encourage your customers to walk around the vehicle to observe the headlights and tail lights. During the walkaround, you may notice that the headlight options are consistent with the tail lights. For example: the LX standard rear lights are powered by bulbs. S, EX, S1.6T, and SX trims feature an LED tail light illuminating a dynamic design to complement the dynamic width of the Seltos.

17- and 18-inch alloy wheel combinations reinforce the bold design motif. You’ll find 17-inch alloy wheels on LX, S, and EX, while 18-inch wheels join the party on S1.6T trim OR on the fully-equipped SX. (Hot tip: If you see red center wheel caps, you’re looking at 18” wheels AND a Seltos with the up-leveled powertrain with All-Wheel Drive* (AWD). #yourewelcome.)
