The All-New, First-Ever 2022 Kia EV6 is the embodiment of the new Kia brand and a gamechanger for electric mobility. As Kia’s first dedicated Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the EV6 inspires through bold design, progressive engineering, and innovative technologies— especially when it comes to charging and range*.
The EV6 offers ultra-fast (800-volt) DC Charging* capability, which can take the vehicle from 10% to 80% charge in just 18 minutes with a compatible 350kW DC Fast Charger*. And with an available 310-mile All Electric Range* (AER), EV6 drivers can ease their range anxiety and spend more time on the road.
When it does come time to charge the EV6, there are three levels available to your customers. Be sure to familiarize yourself with all the available charging levels and how customers can access them.
EV6 Breaks Charging World Record
The 2022 Kia EV6 is making history. It recently achieved the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the shortest charging time to cross the United States in an electric vehicle1. Over the 2,880-mile cross-country trip, the EV6 only had to charge for 7 hours and 10 minutes— beating the previous record-holder, Tesla Model S, by more than 5 hours.
Customers may purchase a Level 1 Charging* Cable from the Parts Department.
EV6 Charging Rate*: Approximately 51 hours, 5 minutes to 68 hours (dedicated 120-volt/12-amp power source)
Note: Not recommended as primary charging method. An extension cord should never be used with a Level 1 Charging* Cable.
A Level 2* Charger can be installed at the customer’s home for convenient charging access (licensed electrician and special permits may be required).
Most public charging stations also offer Level 2 Charging*.

Charging Port
To charge their 2022 EV6, your customers will need to know where to find—and how to access—the EV charging port.
The charging port door is nestled just below the right-side rear combination lamp and integrates seamlessly into the innovative rear design of the EV6. When customers are ready to access the charging port, they have two ways to open the charging port door: electronically by selecting the plug/fuel pump button on the driver’s side lower left instrument panel, or manually from the rear of the vehicle by lightly pressing the door inward.
Once customers have finished charging, they can close the charging port door by pressing the button below the charge meter, beside the charging port itself. Be sure to walk customers through this process during Delivery.

Finding Charging
As public charging infrastructure expands, Kia is keeping customers equipped with the latest technologies to easily locate charging stations. Be sure to review all available options with your customers before they drive their 2022 EV6 off the lot.
Navigation*
EV6’s standard navigation* system can not only guide customers to their destination, but also to nearby charging stations. This built-in functionality can take the stress off customers seeking charging, especially when they are in an unfamiliar neighborhood or city.
Kia Access* and Mobile Apps
When outside of the vehicle, customers can also utilize the Kia Access* mobile app to easily find charging. Through the app, customers can locate charging stations and integrate them into their route. Kia Connect* (standard on EV6) enrollment is required.
Customers can also download other, third-party mobile apps to search for charging stations, such as PlugShare®*, Chargepoint®, and EVgo™*.

Kia Access App: Kia Access app for smartphone and smartwatch requires enrollment of vehicle in Kia Connect. Remote features require a Kia Connect subscription, a compatible smart device, and a wireless signal with good coverage to function. Normal cellular service rates may apply.
