SUBJECT:  IQS Quick Tip #21 – Manual Seat Height Adjustment

In our continued efforts to reduce customer “Difficult to Understand” (DTU) complaints, please be certain to demonstrate ALL seat adjustment controls as part of the perfect delivery process. Customers consistently report seat controls, especially seat height controls, to be difficult to understand.

Please note that among seat operation related DTU comments, we have seen many customer comments specifically associated with manual seat operation. If the customer is purchasing a Kia vehicle equipped with manual seats, please make it a priority to demonstrate that the height adjustment is made with consecutive pulls or pushes on the seat lever until the desired height is reached. Here are some reminders:

• To lower the seat cushion, push the lever down repeatedly in a pumping action.
• To raise the seat cushion, pull the lever up repeatedly in a pumping action.
