AN EV WITH QUALITY DNA
As customer interest in electric vehicles (EVs) continues to grow, Kia's stylish, versatile, and energy efficient EV crossover is front and center. According to the first J.D. Power* 2021 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Ownership StudySM*, the 2020 Kia Niro EV ranked highest in the Mass Market Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) segment1 with an owners’ satisfaction score of 782.
J.D. Power* surveyed nearly 10,000 electric vehicle (EV) owners on factors including cost-of-ownership, battery range, and driving enjoyment to determine the likelihood of repurchasing and recommending an EV. The same study found that 82% of EV owners say they "definitely will" purchase another EV in the future.1

CHARGING AHEAD
When it comes to performance, the 2020 Niro EV boasts output of 201 horsepower — and its 291 pound-feet of torque makes it a pleasure to drive. It also has an impressive EPA*- estimated 239-mile All Electric Range* (AER).
Charging overnight at home is easy with a 240v home charger. Customers can opt to charge the Niro EV to 80% in about 1 hour and 15 minutes with compatible 50 kW DC fast chargers. And on a 100-kW DC fast charger, 100-miles can be added in 30-minutes. A high-density, lithium-ion polymer 64 kWh battery delivers plenty of power, and packs unobtrusively under the vehicle. That helps the Niro EV retain maximum cabin space: 53.0 cu. ft. of cargo* capacity (with the rear seats down) and 96.6 cu. ft. of passenger volume (BTW, that’s more passenger volume than the 2020 Chevrolet Bolt and 2020 Nissan LEAF®).
UNIQUE EV ADVANTAGES
Available in EX and EX Premium trims, the Niro EV offers several competitive advantages, including standard and available Kia Drive Wise (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems*) features, standard heated* front seats, and support for wireless and tethered Android AutoTM* and wireless Apple CarPlay®*. There is an available Cold Weather Package with a battery heater, heat pump, and heated steering wheel; this package can help to control the high-voltage battery temperature and extend the vehicle’s range in cold weather.
The Niro EV also has benefits that only come with electric vehicles:
- Eligibility for High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane access in select states, which allows Niro EV customers to drive in HOV lanes even when driving solo
- Federal, state, and utility rebates in select states for buyers
- Kia Access with UVO link* app that allows customers to set charging schedules, use remote commands, and find nearby charging stations right from their smartphone
Don’t forget our best-in-class warranty*: Our industry-leading Kia 10-year/100,000-mile warranty* gives customers unparalleled peace of mind.

BUILT ON A FOUNDATION OF INNOVATION
Kia engineers developed the Niro EV on the company’s dedicated platform, which was part of Kia’s $10.2 billion Green Car Roadmap that created many new battery electric vehicles, hybrids, and plug-in hybrids.
In 2018, CleanTechnica heralded the arrival of the Niro EV: “As the first affordable, fully electric compact utility vehicle (CUV) in the world, the Kia Niro EV is one of the most highly anticipated electric vehicle launches ... its CUV form factor, affordable price, and long range are one of the magic formulas the world of battery electric vehicles has been missing … until now.”3
