The All-New Sorento is the 4th generation of Kia’s popular 3rd-row SUV. This 3rd row really separates us from the competition—it’s a “wow” factor for customers. Built on Kia’s next-generation N3 platform, this SUV is rugged, spacious, capable … and above all, it’s fun to drive!

This exciting new SUV is loaded with “firsts” that are sure to impress your customers, including a selection of new gas and hybrid powertrains, available 2nd-row captain’s chairs, 20-inch wheels, the very latest, state-of-the-art Kia Drive Wise (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems*) features, new UVO features, and much more.

TRIM STRATEGY

Positioned between Sportage and Telluride, the All-New Sorento has eliminated the base L trim to further differentiate it from Sportage and Seltos. The trim levels for 2021 include:

  • 2.5L GDI LX Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or All-Wheel Drive* (AWD)
  • 2.5L GDI S Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or All-Wheel Drive* (AWD)
  • 1.6L 4-cyl. GDI Turbo S Hybrid (HEV) Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) — Kia’s first-ever Turbo HEV

ELEVATED DESIGN

The exterior has a stronger, sharper, and more chiseled exterior design. It has a sleek, powerful, sporty look with tight character lines. For the first time ever, it’s offered in four distinct styles:

  • Stylish entry-level (LX)
  • Sporty, with unique front and rear bumpers and Gloss Black detailing (S, EX, SX, and SX-Prestige)
  • Rugged X-Line with unique bumpers and Matte Black trim (SX-Prestige AWD)
  • Elegant Satin Chrome detailing (HEV)

ENHANCED STYLE AND AMENITIES

While it’s the same length as the previous generation, the All-New Sorento has a longer wheelbase that creates more interior room. It’s loaded with new technology, convenience, and luxury features, from available 2nd-row captain’s chairs to standard wireless support for Apple CarPlay®* and Android AutoTM* to an available 10.25-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) touch screen display with three-way split screen functionality and navigation* to an available stylish, customizable Supervision instrument panel with a 12.3-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) color LCD screen and much more.

POWERFUL PERFORMANCE

The new platform is lighter and stronger for a smoother ride and better handling. Customers will experience even more excitement with three new powertrain options:

  • 2.5L 4-cyl. GDI 16V DOHC w/ Dual CVVT engine (LX and S FWD/AWD*)
  • 2.5L 4-cyl. GDI Turbo 16V DOHC w/ Dual CVVT engine paired with an 8-speed wet Dual-clutch Transmission (DCT) that makes the most of the engine’s generous torque (EX, SX, SX-Prestige FWD and X-Line SX-Prestige AWD*)
  • Kia-first Turbo Hybrid (HEV): Dual power with a 1.6L 4-cyl. GDI Turbo combustion engine and self-charging 44.2kW electric motor paired with a 6-speed Automatic Transmission w/ Shift-by-wire Transmission Controls with standard paddle shifters (S and EX FWD)
STATE-OF-THE-ART KIA DRIVE WISE (ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS*) FEATURES

Among the best in the segment, now-standard features include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist-Ped* (FCA-Ped), Lane Following Assist* (LFA), and Driver Attention Warning* (DAW). Newly available features for the Sorento include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist-Junction Turning* (FCA-JT), Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve* (NSCC-C), Blind-Spot View Monitor* (BVM) and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist-Reverse* (PCA-R), as well as brand-new Intelligent Speed Limit Assist* (ISLA) and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance-Parallel Exit*.

A modern subcompact SUV distinguished by its dynamic styling, the Sportage has a lot to offer.

Compared with the All-New Sorento, the Sportage may be better suited to customers who want a smaller vehicle and don’t need three-row seating. It is also more accessible for price-sensitive customers.

Designed with head-turning style, the All-New Sorento has the advantages of an SUV—from high seating positions to all-weather capability and rugged versatility—all without the bulkiness and increased fuel cost of a huge vehicle.

It will appeal to young couples and small families as well as empty nesters who want the option to use the third row when needed.

2021 Telluride SX with Prestige Nightfall Edition Package shown

This award-winning vehicle has a long list of standard features, impressive power, advanced technology, and the most interior passenger room in its segment.

Compared with the All-New Sorento, the Telluride may appeal to customers with older children or larger families that need more room in the rear—or who simply prefer a larger vehicle.
