The 2022 Niro EV is a sporty Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) and brings a stylish, versatile, and energy-efficient option to the Kia SUV lineup. It’s available in two trims: EX and EX Premium, both which offer outstanding design inside and out.
Makes a Great First Impression
The exterior styling starts up front with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), projector beam headlights, and front fog lights. A sliding-open-type radiator grille gives the front a smooth and sleek look, accentuated by a hybrid blue fascia garnish.
The closed front upper grille has an integrated charging door and charge port light to maximize customer convenience when charging.
The Niro EV is available in a range of exterior colors and features 17-inch alloy wheels. The dark wheel openings and rocker cladding contribute to the Niro’s sporty, rugged look. The black side sill and beltline garnish are complemented by the body-color exterior door handles.
The Niro EV also features body-color with Gloss Black base exterior mirrors. The exterior mirrors are power adjustable, heated, power-folding, and incorporate LED turn signals.
Stylish roof rails* add versatility, with the ability to add roof crossbars and attachments (sold separately) — to accommodate the gear for your customer’s next adventure.
Around back, the rear spoiler features an LED Center High Mount Stop Light (CHMSL). This third brake light communicates a clear message to drivers of vehicles behind the Niro EV that it is slowing down and/or stopping.
When customers choose the EX Premium, they will also enjoy a power tilt/slide sunroof and LED rear combination lamps to upgrade their Niro EV’s appearance.
Interior Style is Right Up Front
The interior of the Niro EV is focused on driver comfort.
The EX comes with standard heated* front seats with combination cloth and SynTex Seating Material. The EX Premium’s front seats are heated* and ventilated with full SynTex Seating Material upholstery.
Both trims come standard with our 10.25-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) touch screen display with three-way split-screen functionality and an enhanced multi-media experience featuring a harman/kardon®* Premium Surround Sound Audio System with 8 Speakers and Clari-Fi™* Digital Audio Restoration.
Steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters* provide regenerative braking control.
Convenience abounds with a center console with an armrest, storage, and cup holders; an overhead console with sunglasses case; and illuminated and extendable visor vanity mirrors.
The EX Premium also adds LED interior mood lighting and a power tilt/slide sunroof that offers occupants refreshing natural light and an even greater feeling of spaciousness.
Rear Seat Amenities
The Niro EV has a versatile 60/40 split-folding rear seat with a center armrest and cup holders. Rear air vents provide an even temperature to keep all passengers comfortable. And a front passenger seatback pocket makes for a convenient spot to stow last-minute items for rear-seat passengers.
