The LX has a large 8-inch touch screen color display that comes with wireless support for Apple CarPlay®* and Android AutoTM*. Once your customers pair their iPhone®* or AndroidTM* phone with the All-New Sorento via Bluetooth®*, the phone will connect to the feature automatically, allowing them to access specific functions. This system also has Voice Recognition (VR) capabilities.
The S, S HEV, EX, and EX HEV trims add a modem that enables SiriusXM® Satellite Radio* as well. These trims also have UVO link*.

The SX, SX-Prestige, and X-Line SX-Prestige come with a striking 10.25-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) touch screen display with three-way split screen functionality and navigation*. This is housed in a capacitive touch interface that has buttons for functions such as MAP, RADIO, MEDIA, and more. It also adds UVO link* capabilities. (Please note that Apple CarPlay®* and Android AutoTM* require tethering for this interface.)
On the LX, S, S HEV, EX, EX HEV, and SX trims, the instrument cluster now has a larger, stylish Supervision 4.2-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) color LCD, compared with the previous Sorento’s 3.5-inch monochrome display.
The SX-Prestige and X-Line SX-Prestige features an all-new, customizable Supervision instrument panel with a 12.3-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) color LCD screen. The look of the screen changes with the Drive Mode that’s selected.

Along with the 10.25-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) touch screen display with three-way split screen functionality, there are several available features that are new for the 4th generation Sorento:
- Bose* Premium Audio System with 12 speakers — a top-of-the-line audio experience that converts stereo sources to rich surround sound.
- Vehicle control via voice commands that allows customers to use voice commands to adjust some vehicle settings such as climate settings, heated* front seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear glass, and more. The voice commands have natural language understanding (NLU) support, so customers don’t have to memorize and use key phrases.
CONVENIENT WIRELESS PHONE CHARGER*
The EX, EX HEV, SX, SX-Prestige, and X-Line SX-Prestige come with a wireless phone charger* pad located right in the front console. This charger is faster than the previous Sorento’s wireless charger*.
REMOTE CONNECTIONS WITH UVO LINK*
The UVO link* with smartphone integration for remote* commands is available for the upper trims on the 2021 Sorento. This system helps connect Kia owners with their vehicles via the Kia Access with UVO link* app. (The customer must have an active subscription for these to work.) Highlight these important features when explaining UVO link* to your customers:
- Remote features*: These include engine Remote* Start with Climate Control, door lock/unlock, and more via the Kia Access with UVO link* app or the Kia owner’s website.
- Smart speaker integration: This allows customers to use any nearby smart speaker or device with Amazon Alexa* or Google Assistant* enabled to remotely control some functions (such as Remote* Start).
- All-New Find My Car with Surround View Monitor: This feature enables Kia owners with UVO link* to capture 360-degree photos surrounding their vehicle using onboard cameras via remote command on the Kia Access with UVO link* app or Kia Owner’s site.
- All-New Last Mile Navigation*: Once the customer arrives at the destination and turns off the ignition, UVO sends a push notification to the Kia Access with UVO link* app on their smartphone if their destination is less than one mile away. The customer can seamlessly access walking directions via the smartphone’s native maps to complete their journey on foot from where they parked.
- 911 Connect* emergency notification: If the vehicle is involved in an accident (with an airbag deployment), UVO will dial 911 directly (UVO must be activated).
- Rear Occupant Alert with Ultrasonic Sensors* (ROA w/ US): Uses ultrasonic sensors to detect movement within the vehicle when it is parked, and can alert the driver by sounding the horn and flashing the lights if an occupant is detected in the rear seats after the driver has locked the vehicle. For UVO subscribers, it can also send a text message to their phone.
- Voice Assist: Enhanced features allow customers to control the vehicle’s climate, heated* front seats, heated steering wheel, and more with voice commands (available only with AVN 5.0 with Navigation*).
- Navigation* with Connected Routing: A cloud-based enhancement that provides a behind-the-scenes improvement in efficiency and accuracy. The system’s maps use historical and real-time traffic data to determine the optimal route. Frequent updates/data refreshing keeps customers on the best route. It also includes:
- Connected Weather: With UVO and connectivity, we are able to now show weather information for more than 25,000 cities (traditionally, we have depended on HD transmitters for this data and these are limited to about 500 cities).
- Speed Cam Information: UVO will also show speed cam information on the route to make customers aware of those.
