2023 Niro EV: What's New
The 2023 Kia Niro EV showcases an expressive new design with a blend of forward-thinking technologies and some of the latest in convenience features. Available in two new trims-the Wind and Wave-customers will be impressed with the 2nd-generation Niro's new advanced EV technologies and expanded driver assist portfolio that provide an even more compelling driving experience. Let's take a closer look at everything new for MY2023!
All-New Design

Redesigned for 2023, the front end of the All-New Niro EV features a matte-glossy two-tone radiator grille with a hexagonal pattern to emphasize its futuristic aesthetic while standard LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) express a "heartbeat" look.
The Niro EV Wave offers sleekly designed C-pillar accent blades, lending to the EV's feeling of perpetual motion-even when stopped. The rear bumper has been revamped in a more modern style.
Inside, the driver will enjoy a curved, futuristic, off-center dashboard with more than 20-inches of dual touchscreen capabilities and opposing horizontal and diagonal lines that create a calming, yet irregular, aesthetic. Throughout Niro EV's interior, vegan leather seating material is available.
Elevated Comfort and Convenience
The All-New Niro EV is elevated further with additional standard features for improved comfort, convenience, and connectivity, including:
- Dual-Panoramic Curved Display joining the instrument panel and infotainment screen into one intuitive, 20.5-inch display
- Switchable Controller for the HVAC and Audio, combining the controls into a single display for a more streamlined interior
- Dial-type Shift Knob, lit by an LED ring that aligns with the adjustable Ambient LED Mood Lighting
- Power Liftgate* for easy, hands-free access to the rear cargo area

When stepping up to the Niro EV Wave, customers gain a Head Up Display* (HUD) which appears to floats over the windshield and displays certain important information, such as vehicle speed and turn-by-turn navigation*. Wave also offers Capacitive Touch Outside Door Handles for one-touch vehicle access, plus Kia Digital Key 2 Touch*, which is designed to allow drivers to use their compatible smartphone device as a key for their vehicle. Drivers can even share their Kia Digital Key 2 Touch* with up to three others for easy access. An active Kia Connect* account and the Kia Access App* are required to utilize the Kia Digital Key 2 Touch*.
EV Technologies

Niro EV has an improved EPA estimated All Electric Range* (AER) of 253 miles-perfect for any commuter. For added convenience, the charge port has been moved to the center of the front fascia, making it easier for drivers to plug-in.
Inside, customers will appreciate an updated EV cluster and a new Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS). The adjustable regenerative braking system is now equipped with i-PEDAL*, which is designed to help customers bring the vehicle to a stop without having to hit the brakes.
The newly available Onboard Power Generator with Connector enables drivers to plug-in certain household electronics, such as a computer or mini-fridge, to be powered via the battery when parked-perfect for camping or powering a mobile office.
The 2023 Niro EV is also ready to take on colder climates with available Preserve Packages for both trims.
