SUBJECT: IQS Quick Tip #9 – HVAC/AVN Dual Controller

Touch-Sensitive Control Panel
Some ‘23 model year vehicles are now equipped with a new Touch-Sensitive Control Panel located under the Multimedia Display. This panel allows the driver to easily toggle between the Infotainment and Climate controls. Vehicles that currently have the new Touch-Sensitive Control Panel are the 2022-2023 EV6, 2023 Sportage, and 2023 Niro.
Infotainment Mode:
- When infotainment mode is selected the infotainment icon
will illuminate. - Control knobs will change to Volume and Tune.
- Capacitive touch buttons will change to MAP, NAV, CUSTOM, SEEK, TRACK, RADIO MEDIA, SETUP
Climate Mode:
- When climate mode is selected the climate icon
will illuminate. - Control knobs will change to Driver and Passenger temperature control.
- Capacitive touch buttons will change to DRIVER ONLY, A/C, FAN SPEED, AIR FLOW DIRECTION, HEAT, SYNC.
Setting the Default Mode:
- Press and hold the climate / infotainment icon
until the above menu is displayed. - Select a setting:

- OFF: Control panel will display the mode used recently.
- Infotainment: Control panel will default to infotainment mode.
- Climate: Control panel will default to climate mode.
Note:
- The Front Defroster, Rear Defroster, Auto Climate, and Recirculation buttons remain the same in both infotainment mode and climate mode.
- When the vehicle is in ACC mode, only the infotainment mode will be enabled.
