SUBJECT:  IQS Quick Tip #11 Automatic Defogging System

A new Auto Defogging System (ADS) label is currently being applied to the upper left hand windshield in some trims of 20 MY Kia Telluride, Sportage, Optima Hybrid, Optima Plug-in Hybrid, Optima, Forte, Sorento, Sedona, and Stinger.

Note: ADS OFF icon only appears in the infotainment display, when the climate display mode has been selected.

During the perfect delivery, be sure to show your customers how to operate the Automatic Climate Control System and explain that the defogger will automatically activate as needed when the Climate control system is set to Auto.

If the customer prefers to change the ADS default ON logic, they can follow the procedure above to turn the ADS OFF. See the owner’s manual for more information about this feature.
